HELP US RAISE FUNDS FOR THE HAITI EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS!
On Tues, Jan. 12, a devastating earthquake struck Haiti causing unbelievable damage to an already poverty stricken country. Hundreds of thousands are feared missing or dead, and so many more are left homeless and helpless. Schools, churches, homes, and hospitals have been destroyed, and the people of Haiti have been left with absolutely nothing. I know that we all watch the news and listen to the radio on our way to work, and the thought of helping these people has hopefully crossed everyone’s mind. Now is your opportunity to make good on those thoughts.
Over the next 30 days, we, the School News Nationwide and the Words of Bonds families, would like to raise $20,000 for a variety of not-for-profit organizations and non-governmental organizations including Doctors Without Borders and the Haiti Action Network who are already deployed on the ground providing much needed support. In addition to helping organizations who are working on Haitians’ immediate needs, SNN is also forming partnerships with emergency housing and job developers to help give Haitians more long-term sustainable communities. More about those efforts here.
While many of you may have donated individually, this is a great way for us to pool our resources and donate collectively. Please consider donating as much as you can spare, from small donation such as $5, to large donation such as $5,000.
Please show your support for the people of Haiti, by clicking the DONATE NOW button on the left. Thank you for your anticipated donation.
